Jean-François Mehdi Jabir, a Senior Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and Its Applications originally from France, has been working at HSE University since 2017. He was drawn to HSE by the opportunity to conduct joint research with leading Russian and international scientists, the freedom of academic discussion, and the openness of the university. Jean-François shared his thoughts on HSE University and Moscow in general with the HSE News Service.

Sankha Basu, Assistant Professor at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-Delhi), taught a course at the Spring School 'Logic, Linguistics and Formal Philosophy' hosted by the International Laboratory for Logic, Linguistics and Formal Philosophy. Nicolas Lagios joined the International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF) at HSE University–Moscow as an assistant professor in 2025. He holds a Master’s and a PhD in Economics and his research interests include political economy, cultural economics, and applied economics.
