Dirk Meissner, Professor at the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge and the Academic supervisor of the Master’s Programme ‘Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation’, told The HSE Look about its development and achievements.

Joseph MacInnes has been Assistant Professor at HSE School of Psychology since 2013. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate students of HSE Faculty of Social Sciences. In February he conducted an extended workshop on eyetracking for students of Master’s programme Cognitive Sciences and Technologies: from Neuron to Cognition. Professor MacInnes has talked to HSE News Service about his work at HSE, the nature of his research and shared his recommendations for international students on better adapting to Russian culture.
Marie Arsalidou joined HSE’s Faculty of Social Sciences as Assistant Professor in September 2014. She is getting ready to launch a wide-ranging developmental study examining cognitive capacities in school children. Here she talks about what working at HSE and living in Moscow is like for an international professor.
In October, Professor Abel Polese from the University of Edinburgh Institute of Geography gave a series of lectures at the Higher School of Economics for students of the Faculty of Politics, as part of the IMESS Visiting Scholars programme. Boris Zhelezov, Deputy Vice Rector and Head of the Office of International Academic Mobility of the HSE, and Abel Polese himself told us about the lectures and the IMESS programme.
In early June Italian professors Cristian Vaccari and Lucio Picci gave a series of open lectures at the Higher School of Economics. Their visit is another step towards the implementation of the agreement on cooperation between the HSE and the University of Bologna signed in 2009.
Recently the HSE and the London School of Economics signed a new agreement on the activities and development of the HSE International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF) for the next 4 years .
