The HSE Look interviewed Michael Rochlitz about the experience of getting from a post-doc to tenure-track position, integration into HSE life and research plans. Michael, an Assistant Professor at the School of Political Science of the Faculty of Social Sciences, joined HSE in 2013 as a post-doc Research Fellow at the International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) of the Institute for Industrial and Market Studies.
Professor Felix J. Lopez Iturriaga has been a Leading Research Fellow at the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy at HSE Perm since 2014. In an interview with HSE English News service, he spoke about his positive experiences working at HSE and his hopes for developing further international academic exchanges.
On January 26, Israel Marques, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the HSE International Centre for the Study of Institutions and Development, delivered a lecture at HSE St. Petersburg entitled ‘Institutional Qualities and Individual Preferences in Social Policy’. Dr. Tim Jaekel, Assistant Professor at the School of Public Administration at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, holds a PhD in Political Science from Heidelberg University. Before joining HSE in 2015, he served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the German Research Institute for Public Administration in Speyer and as a teaching fellow at the German University of Administrative Sciences.
HSE Open Talks, at HSE Day in Gorky Park this year featured a wide range of lectures in English showcasing the ever increasing numbers of international professors and researchers at the university. Among them was Emiliano Catonini, Assistant Professor at the International College of Economics and Finance. He gave a lecture To the Heart of Decision-Making on rationality and irrationality in economic choices. HSE English News asked him to share his impressions of living and working in Russia.
